Things have changed really quickly for schools, nurseries and families due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, but one thing is for sure: none of us know when we might be able to open again to the majority of pupils. Once the Summer Term begins, families start thinking about the transition to "big" school, either as a Reception pupil or Year 7 pupil.
Those of you facing the move to a new school this year will have lots of questions - from practical ones about drop-off and pick-up, uniform and homework, to concerns about your child making friends or settling with their new teacher.
Transition is really important, partly to allay any worries children might have, but also for parents. It’s a much bigger deal for some families than others, but it’s the start of a long relationship and we all want to make sure it gets off to the best start possible.
Over the coming weeks we will be adding resources to keep you informed and up to date with the transition to starting a new school either as the Reception or Year 7 Class of 2020.
