All children will also need a pair of Wellington Boots to keep in school to enable them to go out and make the most of the outdoor environment.

A waterproof coat is essential as children spend time outside whatever the weather.

Jewellery and Headwear

Children who have pierced ears should only wear simple round studs for school, in the interest of safety.  These will need to be removed for all PE activities, as will watches. If they cannot be removed, the children will need to cover them over with plasters and these will need to be brought from home.

We strongly recommend that children do not bring valuables to school and that jewellery (apart from watches) is not worn.  School cannot be held responsible for lost items.

We would ask children with long hair keep it tied back or up.  This is both in the interest of safety and for the avoidance of head lice.  We would also ask that children’s hair is styled appropriately for school and not coloured.

We do not allow headwear to be worn during class time or inside school buildings, except for religious or medical reasons.

P.E. kit.

All the children in the school have weekly PE lessons. On PE days the children should wear their kit to school. The timetable for PE will be shared by classteachers at the start of the term.

The PE kit described below is needed by all children -

  • Navy blue shorts and a plain navy T-shirt

  • An unbranded navy blue track-suit or jogger for wearing outside when the weather is colder and when taking part in sporting activities off site.

  • Trainers

We still ask that you please label all items to ensure lost items are returned to your child.

We also ask children with long hair keep it tied back or up with suitable fastenings of school colours whilst in school. This is in the interest of health and safety. Children should wear plain headbands and not headbands such as unicorns, cat-ears etc.
