A welcome from our Headteacher
Dear Parents, Carers, and Visitors,
It is my great privilege to introduce myself as the Acting Head Teacher of Usk Church in Wales Primary School, a place where every child is nurtured to Believe, Achieve, and Succeed. At Usk, we are passionate about fostering a love for learning, and we place the happiness and wellbeing of our pupils at the heart of everything we do. We firmly believe that happy children are exceptional learners, and this philosophy underpins our daily work.
Our school is a vibrant and welcoming community, where we work closely with parents, carers, the PTFA, governors, and our dedicated staff to create a safe and nurturing environment. Together, we aim to provide every child with the opportunities, support, and inspiration they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
We encourage our children to embrace changes and challenges with confidence, resilience, and determination. By fostering a growth mindset, we equip our pupils with the skills to navigate an ever-changing world while maintaining the highest standards of teaching and learning.
Central to our ethos are our 12 distinctive Christian values: perseverance, responsibility, trust, truthfulness, thankfulness, humility, forgiveness, respect, peace, compassion, courage, and justice. These values inspire and guide us each day, shaping the character of our pupils and the culture of our school. They encourage our children to become thoughtful, compassionate, and confident individuals who make a positive contribution to the world.
I am immensely proud to lead a school that celebrates the unique potential of every pupil and embraces collaboration, community spirit, and mutual respect. Whether you are a new family exploring our school or a long-standing member of our Usk community, I warmly welcome you to join us on our journey of lifelong learning and discovery.
Thank you for your continued support as we work together to make Usk Church in Wales Primary School a happy and inspiring place for all.
Warm regards,
Oliver Beckett
