Pupil Development Grant (PDG)
Schools in Wales receive a Pupil Development Grant (PDG) to help tackle the effects of poverty on attainment, reduce inequality and remove barriers.
The total number of pupils on roll in September 2019 is 269.
The school’s FSM population (Free School Meals) is 9.3%. This is greater than the population for the previous year.
The total allocation of PDG to Usk Church in Wales Primary for April 2019- March 2020 is £6990 (+ £700 EYPDG) based upon historic PLASC data from January 2016.
This year the grant is being used to provide additional staffing to support literacy, numeracy and pupil wellbeing in Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2.
